Good thing we know how to record awesome drummers then. We’ve been recording live musicians for over 20 years and big drums just happen to be our specialty.
We start with meticulous drum selection and then painstaking drum tuning techniques, we know how to get the best sound out of high quality drums. Next we spend hours on microphone selection to match the best mics with the drums we’ve tuned. For Mega Metal V1 and ‘Mega Metal V2’ we used a brand new Pearl Master series drum kit to deliver that bright, punchy sound you hear in the demo.
The final step before letting the drummer loose is to use a live room that enhances the sound of the drums to deliver that huge acoustic tone that works so well in metal music. Finally we agitate our drummer with caffeine and sugar and demand a performance that’s going to leave him seriously dehydrated and possibly with bleeding fingers.
We do all this so that you can simply download, import to your DAW and ROCK like a demon.
